My research spans lemon sharks, cichlids in Belize and the Mississippi River. Since receiving my BS in Biology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, I have been working toward a MS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Texas A&M;University. During my graduate studies I instructed undergraduate biology labs, and have since contributed to both scientific literature and government reports as a biological writer for the US Geological Survey. I currently live with my fiancé in southeast Minnesota, and love cycling in and around the Mississippi River Valley.
