Hi! I’m Dan, the community moderator for the Asthma and Allergy community, as well as the Heart Health community, here at WEGO Health. I was drawn to WEGO by my long-time interest in health and community development. In the “real” world, I helped found, and currently sit on the board of, Growing Washington, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping local, sustainable food systems thrive and to educating people about sustainability, agriculture, and wellness. In the course of my work there and in other volunteer positions, I have had ample opportunity to witness the extraordinary power of ordinary people working together, so I’m very proud to be part of the WEGO community, a community dedicated to helping people get the information they need to take control of their health. You’ll also find me online at wikiHow.com, an online how-to manual that can be written and edited by anyone. I helped build the wikiHow community when the site was still in its infancy, and I’ve written or contributed to tutorials on everything from preventing migraines to delivering a baby. I’m also active on Soundclick.com, a community of musicians where I find new music and share my songs with others.
